When you engage with Vendo as ISP/Agency/AR (collectively “user” or “you”), you share your information with us. We respect your privacy and want to be upfront about the information we collect, how we use it, whom we share it with, and inform you about the controls we give you to access, change or deactivate your account information.  This Privacy Policy outlines the data handling practices of PPMS Field Marketing Private Limited incorporated in India and having its office at “Krishnakriti", No.6, Plot No.39, 3rd Cross Street, Senthil Nagar, Kolathur, Chennai - 600 099 which operates, maintains, and controls Vendo.

 

Our Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding personal information (“Personal Data”) that we collect from users through our websites, the Vendo mobile application, the Vendo platform, and related media or services.

 

The important thing we want you to know is that we use information collected only for the purpose of providing and improving the Application to you. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and considered a part of, the Vendo Independent Services Provider and Agency Agreement that you agree to, when you use our Application.

We collect Personal Data in the following ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information we get when you use our Application.

Information You Provide

Communicating with us. We also retain information on your behalf, such as the Personal Data described above and any information that you submit to us. If you provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail, we will collect your name and e-mail address, any other information to verify you, as well as any other content included in the e-mail, in order to send you a reply.

 

Public forums. When you create a public profile, participate in our events or services, or post in our public support forums, you consent to the collection and disclosure of your information to other users of our websites and forums. The information contained in your posting will be stored on our servers and shared with other users who have access to the forum.

 

Usage information. We collect information about your activity when you visit our website, when you use or run our mobile applications, or when you visit a collection point or worksite. This includes information such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or application you were using before interacting with our services.We may also monitor and track this information for security of our application and to enhance protection.

 

Information collected on our website. Our website uses cookies and other technology to function properly, to keep our Application secure, and to provide you with a personalized experience. We collect information about your activity, browser, and device such as your IP address, device type identifiers, operating system, Internet browser type, and language. We link the information we store in cookies to the Personal Data you provide us while on our site. 

 

Device Permissions: Our mobile application may require you to provide access to your internet for running the application and also track the status of the network. When you elect to allow it, our mobile applications will also have access to your camera, location, media/storage, microphone and push notification. You may disable the mobile applications' access to this information at any time by editing the settings on your mobile device however they may affect the functionality of the application.

 

Location information. When you use our Application, we may collect information about your location using methods that include GPS. Our Application includes the use of Google Maps features and content.  Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the:

(1) Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Application; and

(2) Google Privacy Policy. We may receive updates to your location even when the mobile application is running in the background. You are able to use your phone settings to prevent Vendo from obtaining your location. However, this will mean that you will be unable to receive notifications from Vendo of suitable tasks or validate the execution of the task done by you and as such we will be unable to validate the location of the task executed and thus be unable to approve the payment in relation to the task.

Information We Get From Others Users and Third Parties 

We may also collect information about you from our users and third parties.  If you are a ISP/Agency/AR we may receive information about you from Customers and task locations/execution points etc., and combine it with information we receive from or about you. We may also collect information from publicly or commercially available sources. If you choose to share any Personal Data with us, you agree that you have obtained permission to share such information with us.  

Customers may provide rating and/or feedback on your performances which we store and process for performance tracking purposes.

For marketing and advertising. We use information we receive from you through the use of your activity on our websites, mobile application, platform, and related services to improve our marketing but do not use it for any ad targeting and ad measurement.

Where we store your information 

Your data may be collected, stored, retained or processed anywhere and not necessarily within the county in which we are located, and you agree that you have no objection for the same. It may also be processed by staff outside the country in which you are based, who work for us or for one of our suppliers. We will not transfer the data to a country if the laws in India prohibit such transfers . These countries that we transfer your data to may not provide the same level of protection for Personal Data as within your country of residence. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take reasonable steps to provide that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Authorized application providers. We share your Personal Data with application providers that are authorized by us and perform services on our behalf, including background checks, payment processing, customer support, web hosting, information technology, fraud control, direct mail and email distribution, events, contest, sweepstakes and promotion administration, marketing, and analytics services. We may also share Personal Data that is aggregated or de-identified information with authorized third parties for legitimate business purposes. We may also use the information you provide to support research and innovation on topics of public interest and importance including providing work opportunities to individuals with criminal backgrounds. We use third party cloud data hosting and storage providers such as AWS to store your information. In any event, we only share with authorized application providers the Personal Data that they need to perform services for us.

Compliance, Safety, and Security. We may also disclose your Personal Data for legal, safety, and security reasons. We may share information about you if we reasonably and in good faith believe that disclosing this information is necessary to:

(1) comply with any valid legal process, governmental or regulatory request, or applicable law, rule, or regulation, including responding to subpoenas or warrants served on Vendo;

(2) investigate, remedy, or enforce potential violations of any agreement between you and;

(3) protect or defend the rights or property of Vendo, users of our Application, third parties, or the general public; and

(4) detect and resolve any fraud or security concerns.

Data Retention

We retain the information collected for a period reasonably required for business purposes  or for a period as required under any law.

How we safeguard your data

We use commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information such as encryption, user access control, firewall and two-factor authentication. Unfortunately, transmission of information via the internet is not always secure and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. As mentioned above, once we receive your transmission of information, we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security in our systems. However, please note we cannot guarantee the security of your information in our system and that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Who do we share your information with?

We may share your information with our Customers/Users in relation to the tasks you have accepted.

In case you have been referred to Vendo by an ISP/Agency/AR, we may share the following information with that ISP/Agency/AR :

(1) your onboarding status (i.e., whether you have onboarded onto our mobile application);

(2) whether you have accepted your first job;

(3) whether you have completed your first job; and

(4) your customer rating on your first job.

 

We will share information with third parties who perform services on our behalf. This includes vendors that assist us to manage our business operations, transactional message processors, etc.

We may preserve or disclose your information if we are required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, government request, including to meet national security requirements. We may also share information when we are investigating potential fraud.

In the event we enter into a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may disclose your Personal Data with third parties to facilitate this transaction.

We may, in certain cases, also be required to share your information for reasons not described in this policy. If such a requirement arises, we will take our best efforts to notify you of the same in advance, unless we are prohibited from sharing such information.

Most importantly, we do not sell your information. We do not share Personal Data collected from our services to third parties other than as outlined in this policy. In all cases, we take care to ensure that our data use complies with applicable laws and regulations.

 

Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

If  the data protection laws applicable to you provide the following rights, you can exercise the same by contacting us.

  1. Right to obtain a copy of your personal information

  2. Right to correct, complete or update inaccurate personal information

  3. Right to withdraw your consent for processing the information

  4. Right to erase your information in limited circumstances where it is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was collected or processed

  5. Right to nominate any other person to enforce your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

Further, You have control over your Personal Data and can change your account information, or request opt-out by deactivating your account by sending us an email. While your account is deactivated, you will not be able to use our Application, including accessing your account, using our mobile application, or using our platform.

Children’s Data

We will request that visitors who wish to submit personal information are aged 18 years or older. The website and the services we offer are not intended for individuals less than 18 years of age. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe that a child under 18 years has provided personal information to us, please write to victor@vendo.co.in with the details, and we will take the necessary steps to delete the information we hold about that child.

 

Other Platforms

Our Platform may contain links to other Platforms, such as our social media handles. When you click one of these links, you will connect with another platform. We have no responsibility or control over any linked Platforms or their privacy policies or the manner in which they collect, use or disclose your personally identifiable information.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise our Privacy Policy from time to time and update the same on the application and the website.

By continuing to use our Application, websites, mobile application, platform, or otherwise keep in touch with us, you acknowledge that you accept the policy and any changes to the Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
